Volunteer Research Fellow New York University Langone School of Medicine The NYU Langone Medical Center is one of the top surgical research institutions in the US. We are seeking two Volunteer Research Fellows to work on vascular complications and immunology. Individuals seeking to boost their credentials in preparation for residency application are encouraged to apply. This is a non-paid full-time volunteer position. A commitment of 1 year is necessary. The Research Fellow will train under the mentorship of Dr. Bhama Ramkhelawon's laboratory in the division of vascular surgery, department of surgery, to design and carryout experiments investigating the immune response in cardiovascular complications and diseases. We are one of the best laboratory nationwide performing basic and trnaslational research in vascular diseases. Applicants should have an M.D. or Ph.D. Previous basic science research experience is an asset but not essential. Strong communication skills (verbal and written) are desired. Our volunteers tend to be extremely hard working and as a result they are very successful in matching into residency programs. The position requires a commitment of 1 year.
