Vascular/Interventional Radiology/Trauma Surgery Research Fellow
compensated
More than ever before, the fields of trauma surgery, interventional radiology, and vascular surgery are intertwined. Patients with complex polytrauma require intervention from multiple specialties, and much must be learned about ways in which the care of these patients can be optimized.
Loma Linda University Medical Center (LLUMC) is an ACS-verified Adult and Pediatric Level I trauma center located about 90 miles east of Los Angeles, CA. We are offering a 2 year research fellowship focused on the interface between these specialties. Projects to be completed by the fellow include work on the PROOVIT 2 multicenter trial, a prospective single-center study of the hybrid OR at LLUMC, and others. Projects at the VA include complex vascular imaging analysis, applications of artificial intelligence and limb salvage outcomes for veterans.
Opportunities for publications, national society presentations, intra-mural and extra-mural grant funding may be possible for eligible candidates.
Eligible candidates must have a medical doctoral degree and be in good standing with their current institution. Eligible candidate must be fluent in English. Proficiency in statistical methodology is preferred but not required.
