This includes the use of national cancer databases such as the National Cancer Database (NCDB), Surveillance, Epidemiology, and End Results (SEER), and the National Surgical Quality Improvement Program (NSQIP). In addition to these, we have utilized in-house prospectively collected databases in various disease sites to perform clinical and outcomes research.
Research support includes on-site statisticians, and the unique assistance of medical students who participate in a summer research program that has been established by Sanjay S. Reddy, MD FACS and Jeffrey M. Farma, MD FACS. This collaborative approach to research helps build a mentoring relationship with the faculty, the fellow, and also the students involved.
