Our laboratory provides a rich experience in both basic and clinical research for a two year research fellowship to start July 1, 2022. Additionally, we study effects of anesthesia on the fetus, early predictors and preventative therapies of necrotizing enterocolitis (NEC), various congenital anomalies, and wound healing. Clinically we examine the outcomes of congenital anomalies such congenital diaphragmatic hernia, sacrococcygeal teratoma, omphalocele and congenital lung masses. There is the opportunity to maintain surgical skills, performing large animal surgery (pigs and sheep) as well as microsurgery.
