Responsible to the department Chair for serving as liaison between the surgical residents, attending staff, affiliated hospital personnel and student applicants; assisting with developing and implementing residency program policies and procedures; and performing other related duties as assigned. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Knowledge of American Board of Surgery certification requirements, ACGME guidelines, and Visa and licensure processes; Knowledge of residency program requirements; Knowledge of medical terminology and medical office procedures; Knowledge of basic English, math, grammar, and computer skills; Knowledge of university policies and procedures; Knowledge of computers and various software programs; Ability to organize and prioritize work; Ability to work independently and adapt to new situations frequently; Ability to professionally handle difficult situations; Ability to communicate effectively.
