(Robotic and AI Surgery Research Fellow ) “Funded Two years Robotic Surgery and Artifical Intelligence Research fellowship @ Tufts in Boston “ Period : July 1st,2023 - June 30th,2025 The division of Robotic General Surgery at Good Samaritan Medical Center, Tufts University School of Medicine is seeking qualified individuals to apply for a funded 2 -year research fellowship position in the Department of Surgery, under the direction of Dr. Kudsi. The Fellowship position is expected to begin July 1, 2023 to June 30, 2025. The research fellow will work closely with surgeons, clinical robotic fellow, senior researcher, and optical engineers. An established infrastructure on robotic surgery research is already in place with a dedicated databank. The fellow will spend two years conducting surgical outcome research and collaborate with engineers for a startup company in AI . The fellow will be responsible for managing and updating the databank of clinical outcomes and patient reported outcomes. In addition, the fellow will be trained in the development and coordination of clinical trials, preparation and submission of IRB proposals, grants and manuscripts for peer-review publication. Opportunities exist to collaborate with other departments and academic institutions as part of multi center studies and joint studies. The fellow will also be required to submit abstracts for presentation at national and international meetings. Clinical care is not part of the fellowship program. Recent fellows have published in journals such as Annals of Surgery, Surgical Endoscopy and Hernia. This is an amazing opportunity to work and live in Greater Boston Area.
