Program Manager, Surgery Education
Job Summary: The Program Manager is responsible for duties and oversight functions of the Medical Students and Post Graduate Medical Education in the Department of Surgery under the direction of the Vice Chair of Education, Surgical Program Directors and Administration. This includes but is not limited to assisting the Vice Chair of Education in the design, implementation and coordination of administrative, academic and financial operations of the medical students, surgical residents and fellowship programs. Serves as a department liaison for the surgical training programs.
Minimum Requirements: Bachelor's degree in management, health care, social science, or a related field required.
Must possess excellent managerial and leadership skills. Knowledge and demonstrated skill with Microsoft Applications (including Excel, PowerPoint and Word). Work requires ability to work both independently with other hospital departments, physicians, physician offices, and as a member of the Department of Surgery.
Preferred Qualifications: Master's preferred.
Knowledge and demonstrated skill with Medical Student and Residency associated Information Technology
Licensure and Certifications: Training Administrators of Graduate Medical Education (TAGME) certification preferred.
