Pediatric Surgery Clinical Research Fellow
compensatedLoma Linda University Children’s Hospital welcomes applications for the position of Clinical Research Scholar in the Division of Pediatric Surgery. This is a full-time position for a Post-graduate year 3 or higher level trainee, beginning July 1, 2022 to June 30, 2024. The primary goal of the research scholar is to participate in clinical as well as basic science research. Loma Linda University Children’s Hospital has a robust clinical practice and draws from over 5.5 million people in Southern California. There are significant opportunities for meaningful retrospective, prospective and interdisciplinary projects with NSQIP-P database access. In addition, the scholar will have dedicated time for basic science research with focus on Necrotizing Enterocolitis as well as participation in education and clinical care. As part of the clinical responsibilities, monthly senior-level calls will be required for pediatric surgery. During the time of the fellowship, the scholar will have the option to participate in one pediatric surgery mission trip as part of the global surgery outreach of our department. Our research environment here is vibrant, and our current fellow has published an average of 10 papers/year and had numerous national and international presentations.
