CATEGORICAL PGY-3 SURGERY RESIDENCY POSITION STARTING 07/01/2022
The General Surgery Residency Program at Westside Regional Medical Center located in Plantation, FL, has an unexpected Categorical PGY-3 position available staring 07/01/2022. We are a fully ACGME-accredited General Surgery residency training program which will graduate 4 Chief Residents annually. Only highly qualified applicants with excellent USMLE/COMLEX Board and ABSITE scores should apply. They should have successfully completed 2 years of preliminary or categorical PGY-1 and 2 years in a ACGME accredited General Surgery Residency program and passed USMLE/COMLEX Step 3 by the anticipated start date. Qualified applicants must have:
a) Graduated from a LCME/COCA accredited medical school in good standing
b) Must have satisfactorily completed two years of progressive residency levels (PGY-1 and PGY-2) in an ACGME accredited surgery residency program by 7/1/2022.
c) Must account for all employment / non-employment time since graduation on CV
d) Application must contain current CV, “Letter of Good Standing” from current Program Director*, Two Letters of Recommendation from surgeons familiar with you (LOR), MSPE, USMLE/COMLEX Scores/ABSITE scores, ACGME Case-log and personal statement and data from ERAS application will suffice. Must have passed USMLE Step 3/COMLEX-3 examination and be eligible for medical licensure in State of Florida.

f) Foreign Medical Graduates must have current valid ECFMG certificate
