General Surgery Program Coordinator
pgy1pThe Residency Program Coordinator is responsible for the administration of the day-to-day operations of the specific Residency Program, ensuring compliance with the requirements of the Accreditation Council of Graduate Medical Education as well as New York State Department of Health and other regulatory bodies. This Person acts as the central liaison between all stakeholders in the training program including Program Director(s), faculty, attending physicians, residents, medical students, the clinical practice, other institutional departments and regulatory authorities. Reporting in to the Department of Medical Education and maintaining a dotted line relationship to the Program Director, the Coordinator possesses a high degree of initiative and independent judgement and must be proficient with multitasking.
