Clinical Nutrition Fellow
fellowshipThe Department of Surgery at Brigham and Women’s Hospital and Harvard Medical School is offering a one year fellowship for a physician that focuses on the management of complex patients requiring parenteral or enteral nutrition support. This is a great opportunity for surgical residents who have completed at least 3 years of residency training, GI fellows, general practitioners or others with an interest in medical nutrition. The fellow will work with experienced nutrition support physicians and dietitians in managing complex patients. Management includes identifying appropriate patients for parenteral or enteral nutrition, determining the nutrition prescription, trouble shooting parenteral and enteral access issues, as well as home care management of long-term patients. Fellows will also be expected to conduct research through the Center for Surgery and Public Health at Harvard Medical School.
