Categorical PGY-3 General Surgery Position
pgy3The department of surgery at HCA Healthcare Kingwood, University of Houston in Kingwood/Houston, Texas has a categorical PGY3 position. It is an ACGME approved position. Interested candidates must have successfully completed a PGY1 and 2 year in general surgery, is in good standing with in the approved ACGME accredited program.
HCA Kingwood is a new residency program with a focus on resident wellness, strong clinical and operative background, and use of innovative and evidence-based strategies for education and patient care. Our residents have a strong connection amongst the team and our culture is uniquely resident centric with the belief that exceptional surgeons can be trained within the framework of a positive environment. In addition, our program has a substantial operative experience with interns on average completing over 150 procedures as a PGY 2 able to function at a high level of performing basic laparoscopic and robotic procedures.
