Acute Care Surgery Fellowship
fellowship
The UCSF Fresno Acute Care Surgery Fellowship was recently approved to increase to two fellows per year. This approval came just after the Match, so we have a newly available fellowship position for August 2022 – July 2024.
Both years of the fellowship are fully accredited. The first year is an ACGME accredited Surgical Critical Care Fellowship and fellows are board eligible for the added certification in Surgical Critical Care upon completion. The second year of the fellowship is an Acute Care Surgery specific year accredited by the American Association for the Surgery of Trauma (AAST).
The fellowship is clinically focused on high-acuity trauma, emergency general surgery, and surgical critical care. Didactics, research, and professional development are also incorporated throughout the program.
Applicants must have completed a general surgery residency prior to the start of the fellowship program.
