Academic Fellowship in Simulation Education
STRATUS Center for Medical Simulation offers a two-year fellowship in Simulation Education. Applicants will learn all aspects of simulation education, complete a Master of Science in Health Professions Education from the MGH Institute of Health Professions and participate in the education, leadership and systems courses at the Harvard Macy Institute. The fellow will have a primary role in the STRATUS Non-Technical Skills Research Laboratory.
During the two-year fellowship program, you will:
Develop, implement, debrief and assess, simulation-based curricula
Become proficient in technical areas of simulation, design and operations
Build analytic skills and learn the path to becoming an independent researcher
Publish original research and scholarly work in peer-reviewed journals
Present your research and curricula at local and national conferences
STRATUS recognizes that fellows are trainees working in an apprenticeship mode in preparation for a professional career as a clinician-educator. A faculty mentor will work closely with you to identify specific goals for your professional growth and identify a mentoring team. Fellows are also expected to function responsibly and autonomously within STRATUS and the complex environment of Harvard Medical School and affiliated institutions.
