ARAS Mentorship
Purpose of the ARAS Mentorship Program
The goal of the ARAS Mentoring Program is to provide networking opportunities and promote career development. The mentor will share experiences and advice on such topics as recruitment techniques, credentialing, getting ready for an RRC site visit, orientation planning, resident guidelines and procedures, coordinator/program director roles, time management, and much more.
A firm commitment and willingness to invest time and energy are essential components for a successful mentoring partnership.
Program coordination is a tough and challenging job. ARAS has created the Mentoring Program for new program administrators. New members who join ARAS will be assigned a mentor (an administrator from a program of similar size and type of practice) by request. The mentor's responsibility would be that of consultant, someone the new administrator could turn to for advice. Interaction typically takes place by e-mail, phone, Webex and Zoom.
