St. Barnabas Hospital has a DO position open for its AOA accredited Surgical Critical Care Fellowship. We are looking to fill the position with a highly qualified, general surgery graduate interested in pursuing a career in trauma/acute care surgery/critical care. The fellows will work with fellowship trained, board certified trauma surgeons and professional surgeons adept at leading a multidisciplinary ICU team. Upon completion of the Surgical Critical Care Fellowship, the fellow will have succinct knowledge of cardiovascular and pulmonary physiology, pathophysiology, ventilator management, cardiovascular monitoring and interpretation. The fellow will be competent in the total operative and non-operative management of multiply injured trauma patients, and in the diagnosis and management of postoperative complications across a broad range of surgical patients.
