Surgical Critical Care Fellow

University of Chicago
Date Posted: April 22, 2019

The University of Chicago has an open Surgical Critical Care Fellowship position beginning July 1, 2019. The applicant would need to have completed at least 3 years in a General Surgery residency, and be in good standing at their institution. The previous fellows taken in our fellowship have had an interest in pediatric surgery as a career path moving forward, however, the fellowship is structured with a large amount of time in the adult SICUs. For a fellow not interested in pediatric surgery, I would minimize time in the children’s hospital (1-2 months), and focus more on adult SCC and trauma.
