Job Type: Postdoctoral Research Fellow Job Location: Center for Transplantation Sciences (CTS) Thier Building Massachusetts General Hospital Boston MA 02114 Job description: The Center for Transplantation Sciences (CTS) at Massachusetts General Hospital is seeking a highly motivated postdoctoral research fellow interested in pursuing innovative studies in the field of transplant immunology. The fellow will join a collaborative group of recognized scientists with extensive expertise in basic and translational immunobiology. The research aims to enhance our understanding of the molecular and cellular pathways of allograft rejection and tolerance, and to leverage this information to develop novel therapy strategies to induce tolerance in human recipients of organ allografts and xenografts. This position provides outstanding opportunities for continued scientific development and for contributing to pioneering research with high translational impact. The scientific environment at Massachusetts General Hospital and surrounding institutions such as Harvard and Massachusetts Institute of Technology offers ample opportunity for productive collaborations. Job requirements: The candidate will have a PhD or MD degree and some surgical training. Prior laboratory experience is helpful but not required. Likewise, knowledge of basic immunology is welcome but not necessary. Outstanding oral and written communication skills are important.
