Michigan State University / Michigan Vascular Center Vascular Fellowship Program in Flint, MI is now accepting Fellow applications to fill an open off-cycle PGY6 position beginning 2015 and an open PGY6 position beginning 07-01-2016. This is a 2-year ACGME accredited (5+2) vascular surgery training program. This is a community-based program covering all aspects of vascular medicine, vascular and endovascular surgery. Michigan Vascular Center (MVC), celebrated its 50th in 2013 and is one of the oldest private-practice vascular groups in the United States, having started in 1963. The distinguishing characteristics of MVC are innovation, research, efficiency and a broad exposure to a wide range of vascular pathology and coordination of patient-centered care to improve outcomes. Fellows participate in operative cases at three Flint area hospitals. Additional training is provided with open vascular skills and endovascular simulator training. In addition, Fellows have extensive exposure to the organizational infrastructure required to run a private practice vascular service. Private practice rotations include an office clinic, a free-standing VeinSolutions™ office, a free-standing angio access & diagnostic center; a Research Department, Non-invasive vascular labs at all locations, and a Mobility Center dedicated to the rehabilitation of the amputee.
